I believe coaching is primarily about discovery, self-awareness, and choice. It’s my way of empowering clients to discover their own answers and support them in achieving important choices in their lives. Some of the best leaders are those that take the time for self-reflection. We’ll collaborate to co-create the outcomes you’re seeking and uncover the possibilities that are aligned with your values and purpose.
My focus is on coaching professionals/leaders who have already accomplished a lot but now seek something more, want to get unstuck, want to move forward, want more meaningful relationships at work and at home, and want to have the space to grow and explore possibilities. Those who desire to live a life on purpose and achieving their full potential. I help unlock their inner resources to move forward and get into action.
Because each Executive Coach has his or her own style of coaching their clients, I thought that you would be interested in knowing how I coach, what I expect of my clients and what my clients can expect of me.
I Expect Your Best
If you are hiring me, then you’re probably ready to do and be your best. If you are having a challenge with doing your best I will look at what’s standing in the way, and then help you to get back on to your path.
I Make Direct Requests
From time to time, I’ll make a direct request, like “Will you accomplish X in the next two weeks?” You may accept the request, counter-offer (say what you are willing to do), or decline (rare).
I Say What’s On My Mind
I’ll ask at times if it’s okay to make specific suggestions on handling a problem or going for an opportunity. Honesty is one of my values--I am straight and expect the same from you. Any suggestion and/or advice are simply ways to brainstorm alternatives. The ultimate decision is yours to make.
I Use My Intuition
When I hear a tone in your voice, or notice something amiss, I’ll ask you about it. Often, it is reading between the lines that offer the chance to go deeper and resolve something beneath the surface. However, I don’t confront or push; I’ll merely invite you to take a look.
I Give Homework
I usually ask my clients to come up with two or three goals, actions, or breakthroughs to have between one call and the next. If it is too much, say so. If you want more, just ask.
I Am Available (Virtually)
I want to hear it all. If you have a personal problem, troubled by something (even the coaching process or me), starting to realize something big or want to share a breakthrough, call, text, or e-mail me. I will be in touch as soon as I can be.
