Where do you want to go now?

Meet Mike

I feel as though I’ve lived several professional lives having started my work life as an advertising “madman” after earning an MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. My father always wondered when I was going to get a real job. Much to his chagrin, I spent nearly 20 years in business leadership at several global agencies such as DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, Bates, and Grey with five of those years located in Paris, France. I was fascinated by consumer motivations and developing the strategies that appealed to their wants and needs. Some of my greatest lessons were the importance of active listening , staying curious, and asking clarifying questions in achieving the desired results.

Upon returning stateside, the dot-com boom captured my attention, and I joined an early Facebook-like social networking start-up as head of Partner Marketing. Here I led teams that developed web-based communities of interest for clients such as P&G, Ford, and Sony. Following the dot-com bust, I moved client-side as US head of marketing brand integration and later Global brand director at PwC, formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers . Here I had the opportunity to manage the organizational change around the largest global rebranding at the time. This entailed influencing leaders across 158 countries and 180,000 partners and staff to embrace the new identity. Once completed, I moved to two AmLaw 100 laws firms, Squire Patton Boggs and Blank Rome, where I also led marketing and brand. In all my roles, I applied my leadership and coaching skills to better position organizations and teams for success and sustainable growth.

After almost 30 years of corporate life, I launched an eponymous brand consultancy where I continued to work with law firms, an AI start-up, and an organizational behavioral consultancy. By 2018 after much self-reflection, I found my “ikigai” of making a difference in people’s professional and personal lives and enrolled in the Co-Active® Training Institute (CTI). This training built upon all the experience I’ve had leading and coaching individuals and teams throughout my career and allowed me to have a real impact on helping business leaders be the best they could be. I’ve earned my CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) and my ACC (Associate Certified Coach) from the International Coaching Federation and am actively coaching leaders in the C-suite, small business owners, and motivated professionals to live life on purpose.

Today, I reside in Sea Cliff, New York with my wife Amy and am the father of 4 adult step-children. When I’m not coaching or spending time with the family, you’ll find me playing some type of competitive racquet sport.
